Job Title: Maintenance Technician (1st Shift)

Location: Stoughton, WI

Pay: Up to $34/hour

Schedule: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM | Monday–Friday | Occasional Overtime

Overview:

An established manufacturing facility in Stoughton, WI is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support daily operations through skilled mechanical, electrical, and preventative maintenance. This position plays a critical role in minimizing downtime and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on industrial equipment including presses, conveyors, and furnaces
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Conduct electrical troubleshooting and repairs (up to 480V)
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
• Install, align, and disassemble production equipment
• Perform basic welding and fabrication as needed
• Collaborate with production teams on equipment improvements
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used
• Ensure compliance with all workplace safety standards and procedures
• Provide off-shift support in emergency repair situations, as required

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Technical certification or associate degree in Industrial Maintenance or related field preferred
• 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience; metals or heavy manufacturing environment strongly preferred
• Proficient in mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and power transmission
• Basic welding and fabrication skills
• Familiarity with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and other OSHA safety standards
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in physically demanding conditions including heights and confined spaces

Work Environment:

• Industrial manufacturing setting
• Exposure to high noise levels, heat, and heavy machinery
• Required use of PPE (steel toe boots, gloves, eye/ear protection, etc.)
