Position Title: Pediatric Surgical/Operating Room Tech
Location: Syracuse, NY 13215
Type: Contract | Local or Travel | Flexible Shifts
Pay: $50–$54/hr ($1,800–$2,000 weekly)
We are seeking an experienced Surgical/Operating Room Tech to join the Pediatric OR team. This role supports a variety of pediatric and adult surgical cases in a high-acuity trauma care setting. The ideal candidate has strong scrub experience, excellent teamwork, and the ability to work independently in fast-paced environments.
Responsibilities:
Prepare ORs, sterilize and set up instruments/equipment.
Scrub in, pass instruments, and maintain sterile field.
Support cases: Ortho, General Surgery, ENT, Vascular, GYN, Neuro, Trauma, Bariatric, GU.
Maintain counts of instruments/supplies; ensure infection control.
Assist with room turnover and restocking; anticipate surgical team needs.
Qualifications:
CST certification preferred; no suspended/investigated licenses.
3+ years recent acute care OR experience (Level I trauma, teaching hospital, or equivalent).
Strong scrub experience required; pediatric OR preferred; OB scrub highly desired.
Strong communication, sterile technique, and OR protocol knowledge.
